BITSAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria and Test Centers

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT) 2016 conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), will be starting from May 14 and conclude on May 28, 2016. Candidates seeking admissions to courses such as BE, Pharma and Msc programmes, etc. can apply for BITSAT 2016 online. Through BITSAT, candidates can secure admissions in BITS campuses located at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. Interested students can check all the important dates related to BITSAT 2016 to keep a track of events that will be unfolded post application process.

Those who are not sure how to apply for the exam can go through the application process of the same for a successful registration. BITSAT is a ‘Computer Based Online Test’, which will be conducted across different cities in India. Participating candidates can choose the center, the day and time as per his/her convenience to give test. However, the same will be allotted to them subject to availability.

Here’s the eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2016 that decides who can apply for the exam and who cannot along with the information on test centers.

BITSAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for each course is different. Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the necessary requirements to apply for the exam, before filling up the application form.

For admission to all the engineering programmes except B.Pharma

• Candidates should have cleared their 10+2 from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects along with English.

For admission to B.Pharma

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects along with English.

For admission to all the programmes irrespective of any particular course

• All candidates should have scored a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 10+2 examination. Also, he/she should have obtained at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects.
• Students who are appearing for 12^th examination in 2016 or have passed their 10+2 exam in 2015 are eligible to appear in BITSAT 2016 exam.
• If a candidate has attempted for the exam more than one time in class 12^th or its equivalent, only his latest performance will be considered for the admission.
• Students who have appeared for class 12^th exams in 2014 or earlier are not eligible to appear for BITSAT 2016.

So, if a candidate fulfills all the necessary requirements, mentioned above, to appear for exam, he/she can fill up the application form for the exam right away.

The candidates are free to choose their preferred center from within India or Dubai. They will be allotted any of the three preferences given by them during the application process. However, if a student chooses Dubai as a center, he/she will not be asked for any other center preference and will be given Dubai center only.
