Budget 2014: Twitter goes mad with 5 new IITs & IIMs
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has presented his maiden Union Budget for the year 2014-15.By the looks of it, it seems that the proposed budget has touched based with almost every sector, giving a major boost to education sector.
From proposing 12 new government medical colleges with dental facilities to introducing 4 new AIIMS at Andhra, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Purvanchal, the Budget 2014-15 seems quite promising in terms of the development of the education sector.
As part of the education budget, the Finance Minister has also proposed the introduction of 5 new IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) & 5 new IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management) across the country. While the IITs are likely to be launched in Jammu & Kashmir, Chattisgarh, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, the IIMs will be set up in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha and Maharashtra.
