COMEDK UGET 2016 Counseling Begins from June 28

COMEDK UGET 2016 counselling had begun from June 28, 2016 at the Mangala Mantapa, NMKRV College for Women, in Bangalore. The first day counselling started at 8:30 in the morning, but run very slowly. Some of the studets and their parents had to cancel the return tickets to their hometwon as the counselling time given to them was moved ahead and they had to wait till midnight. A lot of parents were unhappy with the way they were treated by COMEDK officials.

The first day counselling was scheduled for students with rank numbers between 1 and 3000. COMEDK 2016 was conducted on May 8, 2016, at various locations across Karnataka. Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is a state level exam, conducted by for admission to courses such as engineering and medical.

COMEDK UGET results was declared on May 28, 2016 on the official website. The eligible candidates are required to go through this seat selection/counselling process along with their documents and photo ID proof as recorded during the application process.

There will be two rounds of counselling, wherein the first round of counselling will be conducted for all the students who are eligible for the seat selection process, and the second round of counselling is for unfilled, surrendered, forfeited, cancelled and newly added seats. The second round of counselling is also open for those candidates who were not able to attend the first round of counselling.

Candidates appearing for the counselling process can accompany only one person (parent or guardian) with them.

I. Verification and Submission of Documents

Candidates need to verify all original documents including the photo ID proof and their photo copies besides Demand Draft towards the tuition fee. The photo copies of all the original documents will be collected at the Verification counter.

II. Registration of Candidates

Candidates have to register for the counselling process at the counter, where it gets entered into the computer system. They will be handed over registration slip and asked to fill the Demand Draft details and give three choices of Course / College, available at the time of seat selection process.

III. Seat allocation process

After the candidate has registered for the seat selection process, a merit list is generated for each of the session. The candidate has to wait for his/her turn at the seat selection terminal. Meanwhile, the applicants will be shown course-wise and college-wise availability of seats, to help them make their mind in advance. Candidates have to select the seat they wish to seek admission for.

IV. Seat allotted candidate’s biometric & photo will be captured

After the candidates selects the seat of his/her choice from the available list, he/she needs to verify the original documents and submit one set of attested photocopies of each document at the counter. The candidate’s biometric and photo will be captured at the center, once the documents are verified.

V. Demand draft to be deposited

Candidates needs to deposit the Demand Draft for Rs. 55,000/- , drawn from Nationalized Bank in favour of COMEDK (TAT No. XXXXXX), payable at Bangalore. The balance tuition fee as applicable and the original documents are required to be submitted at the college at the time of reporting.

VI. Collection of allotment letter and fee receipt

After depositing the Demand Draft, candidates will obtain fee receipt and the allotment letter, which has security features. This allotment letter will help candidate to join the concerned college on the day of reporting.

Documents to be produced at the time of counselling:

Eligible candidates needs to make sure that they carry any one of the photo ID proof in original- passport, driving license, voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, to the counselling venue. Along with this, they are required to produce following documents at the time of counselling-

1. A copy of the online application form
2. Candidate’s photo identity proof
3. Parents/Guardian accompanying the candidate, must carry any of one of the photo ID proofs in original- Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, PAN Card, and Aadhar Card
4. COMEDK UGET 2016 Test Admission Ticket Number (TAT) Card
5. COMEDK UGET 2016 Rank Card
6. 10^th Standard/SSLC
7. 12^th Standard/ 2^nd PUC
8. Demand Draft drawn from the nationalized banks in favour of ‘COMEDK’, indicating the TAT number, payable at Bangalore.
9. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Minority group/ needs to produce the relevant document at the time of counselling
10. Applicants seeking admission in Architecture programme, needs to produce their score card of National Aptitude Test (NATA), conducted by Council of Architecture.

The counselling venue is “NMKRV College Mangala Mantapa”, 3^rd Block, Jayanagar, (near South End Circle), Bangalore, 560011. The first round counselling for candidates seeking admissions to architecture programmes will be conducted on July 13, 2016 between 8 AM and 4:15 PM.
