Have faith in one’s ability is the key to success. Forget words like demotivation or depression and move ahead by exploring other options available to achieve goals.
Students opting for Physics, Chemistry and Maths to pursue engineering. Engineering seems incomplete without the renowned institutes like IIT and NIT.
IIT and NIT are like destinations for every engineering aspirant and these destinations JEE is the only route. The students need to work hard with complete focus and determination to get admission in their dream college, but what if, for any reasons a student fails to reach their destination or score low or below their expectation. In such a scenario, the students need not to panic. In this article, we will discuss the options if the score is low or below expectations in JEE Main.
In case a student secures low scores in JEE Main, this does not mean that they cannot pursue engineering. The students need to analyse their score and decide if they need more preparation to crack the exam. Based on the analysis, they could decide whether they should drop a year to prepare for the exam again or not.
Well, I would suggest not taking more than a year gap after Class 12 for the entrance preparation as during placements some of the companies do not consider the candidates with a two-year gap.
And if a student feels otherwise, then there is nothing to worry, instead, they should start exploring other options/ colleges available for admission in their desired course. There are some of the private state colleges and semi-government colleges which provide good opportunities, faculties, and good placements too. However, before taking admission, one thing that every student should confirm about the college is that it should be AICTE approved. After this, the student need to check the status of their desired branch, the condition of the labs, faculties other additional trainings and then placements.
To go for subsequent counselling rounds, students must first research the colleges mentioned in the list. The student should only wait for subsequent counselling rounds if there is any chance of getting a good college as per their score else there is no point in wasting time for the counselling rounds.
Students should not get demotivated after getting a low score in the competitive exam. Not getting admission in the IIT and NIT in the first attempt is not the end of the road. The students must consider exploring other options as sometimes even other colleges could give better career opportunities.
