GATE 2016 Results

 

GATE 2016 results got declared on March 18, 2016. The exam results were expected to be out on March 19 but the same was announced a day in advance.

The results are available on the GOAPs website. GATE 2016 score cards will available for download from March 27 to May 29, 2016.

A total of 9,71,831 candidates had registered for GATE 2016 and 8,18,850 candidates have appeared for the examination. Out of the total registered candidates, 5,76,611 of the Male and 2,42,207 of the female registrants appeared for the examination. In terms of the number of candidates appeared, the five largest papers are: Electronics and Communication Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , Computer Science and Information Technology , Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

GATE 2016 online examination is was held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between January 30, 2016 and February 7, 2016. Check GATE 2016 important dates here!

The exam is together conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee).

Aspirants can download their score cards for the paper that he/she has appeared for from the official website of GATE 2016. Please note that GATE 2016 score cards will be issued to:

  1. All the SC/ST/PwD aspirants whose marks will be greater than or equal to the qualifying marks of SC/ST/PwD candidates in their papers
  2. All other aspirants whose marks will be greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of OBC(NCL) candidates in their respective papers

Also, please remember that in the authority of the GATE 2016 Committee to decide the qualifying mark/score for each GATE paper.
