IIIT-Delhi recently announced admissions to undergraduate programmes through Joint Admission Counselling (JAC). The application form for JAC Delhi 2021 was made available on September 24, 2021, and prospective students can apply till October 24, 2021.
To apply for BTech Admission 2021 through JAC counselling, candidates must have passed Class 12 conducted by CBSE, CISCE, or an equivalent board. Candidates must have also secured an aggregate of 70 per cent or more in best-of-five subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry and 70 per cent in mathematics. Candidates having JEE Main 2021 Rank (Paper I) will be eligible. Some relaxations are also given in percentage for reserved categories.
IIIT-Delhi is accepting admission to Btech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Applied Mathematics (CSAM), Computer Science and Bio-Sciences (CSB), Computer Science and Social Sciences (CSSS), Computer Science and Design (CSD), and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CSAI) through JAC admissions process.
IIIT-Delhi also encourages candidates having achievements in extra-curricular activities such as Olympiads, programming, NTSE, KVPY, innovation, national science fair, sports, chess and culture. IIIT-Delhi awards up to two bonus points which upgrade the candidates ranking and increases the chances of getting a seat at IIIT-Delhi.
Fee waiver and various scholarships are also awarded to students of the lower-income group so that no deserving students are deprived of quality higher education.
IIIT-Delhi is one of the five premier institutions that will offer admissions to Btech through Joint Admission Counselling (JAC), which intends to minimise multiple admission counselling sessions. JAC will be conducted online with support from National Informatics Centre (NIC) and will offer admissions to students based on their rankings in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.
A total of 6,175 engineering seats will be allotted through JAC Delhi counselling. The existing Covid-19 situation may impact the announced dates. For any changes in procedure and schedules, students and parents can refer to the JAC website, https://jacdelhi.nic.in and the website of IIIT-Delhi, www.iiitd.ac.in.
