IIT Guwahati Opening & Closing Ranks for 2014 admissions

The sixth Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), IIT Guwahati is one of oldest and well known colleges for its engineering programmes. Situated in northern banks of Brahmaputra, the campus is spread across 700 acres of land and 20 km far away from the heart of the city of Guwahati.

The institute offers various programmes in Bachelor of Technology, Master of Technology, Bachelor of Design, Master of Design, Master of Science and PhD disciplines to its students.

The college is known for its BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. The previous year’s opening and closing rank for General category was 366 to 948, while for Schedule caste was 174 to 296, for Schedule Tribe was 129 to 183 and for Other Backward Classes it was 173 to 405 for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering course.

IIT Guwahati also is a centre for research in the field of Educational Technology, Energy, Environment, Nanotechnology etc.

Like other IITs, admission of candidates to the college is on the basis of merit list of JEE Advanced 2015. Candidates can estimate the course wise cut off ranks for 2015 admission by referring to the opening and closing ranks that went for 2014 admission.
