IIT Mandi Opening and Closing Ranks for 2014 admissions

Founded in 2009, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It began its first academic session at IIT Roorkee campus. In 2012, it shifted to the main campus located in the forest hills of Kamand on the banks of the river Uhl in Himachal Pradesh.

Besides attending regular classes, students of the college are often given opportunity to learn from conferences and guest lectures that keep conducting from time to time in the college. Students are provided with laboratories, library and advanced material research centre to start their own research project during their academic session.

The college offers admission to various Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Science (MS) and Phd programmes to its students. The college admits students in various BTech programmes such as Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering with 40 seat in each course every year.

Like all the other IITs, students who are aiming to take admission to these BTech programmes need to qualify in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2015. The opening and closing ranks of 2015 is likely to be more or less similar to last years’ cut-off ranks.
