IIT Ropar Opening and Closing Ranks of 2014 admissions

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar is one of the eight new IITs and was established in 2008. Initially, the first academic batch was conducted at IIT Delhi campus. The college now has its own campus space situated along the banks of river Satluj in Rupnagar, Punjab.

The campus is spread over a 500 acre area providing facilities such as hostel for boys and girls, laboratories and classroom with multimedia for its students. The college consists of seven departments of which three departments provide training for engineering disciplines and four supporting departments offer Phd programmes.

The college is popular for its three engineering programmes – BTech in Electrical, Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with intake capacity of 40 seats in each programme.

Students who desire to take admission to BTech programmes offered by IIT Ropar need to qualify Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced. This year JEE Advanced exam was conducted on May 24, 2015. The exam was conducted across the country for admissions to top engineering colleges. The result of the exam will be declared on June 18, 2015. Take a glance at important dates of JEE Advanced 2015.

Every year cut-offs are announced on the basis of ranks secured in JEE Advanced exam. The table given below gives an idea of the cut-off ranks of admissions for this year based on the opening and closing ranks that stood for different categories in the year 2014.
