Improve score in JEE Advanced by preparing in the last month

Practise every day with complete focus and revise the syllabus thoroughly with the right frame of mind to improve the scores in the last month of preparation.
After cracking JEE Main, JEE Advanced becomes a new challenge for many aspirants. As JEE Main, it is also conducted by IITs for admission in 23 IITs across the country. In JEE Advanced, top 2.5 lakh rank holders of JEE Main are eligible. Moreover, it becomes more challengeable when you have only one month in hand. In the last month, one could crack JEE Advanced by doing the right thing at the right time.
While preparing for JEE Main exam, the student must have covered almost every topic of the syllabus. Here the most important thing is that you do not need to do any extraordinary revision and rather stick to the basics of the exams to prepare for JEE Advanced.
Here are some of the tips based on my personal experience to follow in the last month:
- Know the exam pattern
- Avoid TV and social media
- Eat healthy food
- Refer to the study material
- Give maximum time for the revision of the important topics
- Solve previous year’s paper as much as possible and if possible then solve other sample papers as well
- Take help from teachers and friends to clarify any doubt
- Do not waste time in the least important topic
Correct study material for JEE Advanced
In the last month, it is advised not to read any new book.
Apart from this, some tips for preparation for Physics, Chemistry and Maths are given below:
Physics
- In Physics, refer to your notes and study material.
- HC Verma
- NCERT books for Physics Practise many test series available
- If you have done coaching from any coaching institute so the study material given by your coaching institute would help in revision
- Write all the formulae and concepts in a separate notebook and revise regularly

There are 3 parts in Chemistry Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry
- NCERT Books: Solve all the three parts from NCERT book
- Practise and solve all the questions of every module given by the coaching institute
- In Physical Chemistry, write down all equations from chapters in a notebook for quick reference while solving problems
- In Inorganic Chemistry, Refer to NCERT Books. Write all the reactions and learn them frequently.
- In Organic Chemistry, revise all the mechanisms thoroughly
- Learn the periodic table, in this d-block, f-block element and co-ordination compounds are very important

Here are some of the basic tips to prepare for competitive exams
- For each of chapter, write 2-3 pages summary
- Write all the formulae and short tricks on a separate paper, this would help in the last week. for a quick revision
- Solve all the JEE Advanced previous years question papers
- Wake up early every day and start the daily routine with positivity in mind
- Time is precious, so utilise each minute productively
- Eat healthy food and stay fit
- Practise mock tests before the exam
- Be positive and stay calm
- Take proper sleep at least seven to eight hours in a day to relax your mind and body
