IP University to promote intermediate semester students, conduct final year exam from July 10

Indraprastha University has announced that it will conduct pen and paper exams for final year students from July 10 and will be promoting all the students studying in the intermediate semester to next year based on internal assessment.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced that it will be conducting the pen and paper exams for the final year students from July 10.

All those students who are studying in intermediate semesters/ years will get promoted to next semester/ year. The students will be promoted on the basis of the composite 50 per cent weightage to marks in the previous semester/year only and 50 per cent weightage to marks in internal assessment of the current semester in each subject.

According to the GGSIPU’s Academic Council, the duration for all the physical end term exams will be of two hours and exams can be scheduled on weekends.

The lab exams will be conducted after the theory exams are finished. If required, the lab exams will be conducted online if the physical lab exam is not feasible, the notification said.

The varsity assured that the norms of social distancing, masks, and sanitization will be enforced by all the colleges and centre who will be conducting the exams.

As per the notification released by the University, the carry forward ( for the subjects in which the students have failed in the previous year/semester) will be allowed for the current academic semester/ year and every student will be promoted to next semester, irrespective of promotion criteria. However, such students will be required to appear and clear the examination for the subject in which they have failed or were absent as and when the examinations are held for the same in the future.
