JEE Advanced 2014: Cut- off marks at 20 percentile for various Boards

With the JEE Advanced 2014 first merit list to be declared today, IIT Kharagpur, the conducting body of the exam, has also released cut off marks at 20 percentile of successful aspirants from various boards for the year 2014 (as furnished by the board).

The list comprises cut offs marks for as many as 31 boards across the country. However, boards like Rajiv Gandhi University Of Knowledge Technologies, Hyderabad, Haryana Open School, Bhiwani, Andhra Pradesh Open School Society, ‘A’ Level Of General Certificate Of Education, Cambridge University (IGSE) and International Baccalaureate are not included in the list due to unavailability of results from Boards.

In this case, students from these boards will be eligible for admission only if their aggregate marks in percentage are equal to or higher than the cut off declared for CBSE as per JEE (Advanced) – 2014 eligibility criteria. (GE-83.2%, OBC-NCL – 82.0%, SC – 74% and ST – 73.2%).

Note:

  • Candidates from Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education may use any one of the scheme of Board Marks – based on Class-XII only or Class-XI and XII combined for 2014. However, candidates who passed in 2013 will have to furnish the Board marks based on Class-XII only of 2013.
  • Candidates who passed their Qualifying Examination in 2013 will be considered based on the Cut-off marks of 2013.
  • The Board Codes are as given in the JEE (Main)-2014 Bulletin.
