JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2020

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released the eligibility criteria for foreign nationals aspiring to appear in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2020.

According to the notification available on the official website, β€œCandidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalised) and have studied (are studying) abroad at 10+2 level or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2020, are treated as foreign nationals.

Describing further about which the reservation of foreign nationals under different categories, it has been clarified by institute that the foreign nationals are outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD (Persons with Disability) categories.

For appearing in JEE Advanced, candidates will need not to appear/qualify the JEE Main 2020. Foreign candidates can register directly for the JEE Advanced. Following documents will be required at the time of registration:

Birth certificate for age proof

Class XII marks sheet/certificate for 75% cut-off (if available at the time of registration)

Identity proof

Citizenship certificate/Passport

Testimonial (if required)

For completing JEE Advanced registrations, candidates will need to pay a fee depending on the centres chosen by them at the time of filling the application form. JEE advanced application fee for foreign nationals is given below:

JEE Advanced for foreign nationals will be conducted at Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Singapore.  The exam will be conducted as per the schedule below:

Exam Date: Sunday, May 17, 2020

Paper-1

09:00 – 12:00 IST

Paper-2

14:30 – 17:30 IST
