Vineet Joshi, Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), said in a statement that JEE Main 2020, NEET 2020 admit cards can be used as passes in Containment Zones. Also, the examination centre staff including invigilator and other officials can use their appointment letters as passes. The NTA Director is in a live interview with Doordarshan. 

NTA director has also added the examination centres of the entrance examinations have been doubled this year keeping in the safety of the students. He further said that students have been asked to reach their respective exam centres at different timings to maintain social distancing and reduce the overcrowding at the examination centres, Candidates will have to sit at alternate sits to maintain proper social distancing from each other. 

NTA has previously said through a press release, "The number of examination centres have also been increased from 570 to 660 (for JEE Main) and 2,546 to 3,843 (for NEET). While JEE-Mains is a computer-based test, NEET is a pen-paper test," the NTA said in a statement on Tuesday. "Additionally, in case of JEE-Mains, the number of shifts have been increased from the earlier 8 to 12, and the number of candidates per shift has been reduced from earlier 1.32 lakh to 85,000 now,"

The authority has also ensured that 99% of the registered candidates have got their first choice of exam centre.

On August 25, Dr Ramesh Nshank Pokhriyal has also confirmed that NEET 2020/JEE Main 2020 exam dates, will not be postponed any further. The Minister has also urged the students and parents to respect the decision of SC on JEE Main and NEET.
