JEE Main 2020 attendance for September 1 to 3 released. More than 80% appeared for paper 1 in the first two days.

NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2020 April/September exam smoothly with proper arrangement and ensuring safety protocols across all the centres due to COVID-19 pandemic. JEE Main 2020 is being conducted National Testing Agency (NTA) across 660 centres in India and abroad. The Minister of Education, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal has shared via twitter the JEE Main 2020 attendance statistics for September 1 to 3. As per the statistics shared, Day 1 of JEE Main Paper 2 saw 54.67 percent of students attending the test while Day 2 and Day 3 Paper 1 witnessed 81. 08 percent and 82.14 percent attendance respectively. 

The Minister also applauded all the Chief Ministers across the country for providing their full support to students appearing in JEE Main 2020 April/September.

Amid this pandemic, Gujarat authorities had reported earlier that nearly 45% of students skipped JEE Main 2020 April/September on Day 1 of JEE Main 2020. A total of 3,020 Gujarat students registered for JEE Main 2020 Paper 2(Barch) and Paper 3 (BPalnning). Out of which only 1,664 (55%) appeared for the entrance examination on Tuesday i.e September 1. 
Many reports for students skipping examination from various exam centres across the country has also been reported earlier.

Assam and Dehradun recorded the lowest attendance in the number of students appearing for the exam on Day 1. 50 percent attendance was recorded in Assam in the six exam centres on Day 1. However, on Day 2 and 3 in Assam, 70% of candidates who registered for the exam appeared in the exam. 

In Lucknow, 44 percent students did not appear for the examination. The Lucknow district officials said that of the 1,065 students who had enrolled for the exams only 597 candidates appeared for the exam.

JEE Main 2020 April/September examination is being conducted from September 1 to 6 in computer-based mode. Day 1 of JEE Main 2020 was moderate to easy as per the students. Day 2 and Day 3 paper 1 was moderate in terms of difficulty level. There was no glitch in the question papers as reported by the students. A total 8,58,273 candidates applied for JEE Main 2020 April/September, Out of which total registered for BE/BTech exam were 7,46,115.
