JEE Main 2021: NTA to decide about January cycle after school reopens
The National Testing Agency (NTA) would be reviewing the next cycles of the entrance exams such as JEE Main and NEET 2021 after the reopening of schools and colleges of India: Details below.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to review the January cycle of JEE Main 2021 after schools and colleges will reopen. The NTA is planning to do so as schools and colleges remain shut after orders from UGC and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The COVID-19 outbreak in the country has caused almost all the educational institutions to remain to avoid any infection among students. The pandemic also caused many exams to be cancelled or postponed including the JEE Main 2020. The exam is conducted twice a year by the NTA since 2019. However, the JEE Main 2020 April exam is yet to be conducted. After being postponed twice the exam would now be conducted in September 2020. Since the exam cycle has been disrupted NTA is considering reviewing the JEE Main January 2021.
It has been reported that the MHRD officials informed that the NTA would be taking a call for the exam in January 2021 depending on the situation prevailing after the schools reopen. The agency would also take the Board exams, results and 2021 exam calendar into consideration too.
Any further postponement would be leading to a further delay in the JEE Main January Exam 2021. It will also create a problem for students as they will get less time to prepare for the exams or even if they had the time it is being complained by many of the mental pressure they are facing. Students are still demanding to cancel exams as the threat to health is what is concerning them the most.
