Tip # 2: Smart planning and time management is the key

The foremost essential for succeeding in JEE is a smart work plan which covers the entire syllabus well in time. Make the study time table that utilizes the time effectively by dividing the subjects and topics on daily basis to cover comfortably. But keep in mind to set daily reasonable targets based on your capabilities, as unrealistic targets can be demoralizing when not achieved. Allocate adequate time to each subject such that due attention is paid to each topic. Allocate extra hours every week for the difficult subjects and doubt clearing sessions. Discipline is the key to follow the time table. Keep one hour in a week for self-analysis and correction. A well-conceived study plan and regular mock tests would help you streamline your preparation to progressive perfection.

Tip # 3: Practice lot of questions but with clear concept

Though good number of problem solving is essential but having it done with the concept clarity accelerates success as the exam may not have a fixed pattern. Though it is good to solve questions, but focus more on making the concepts transparent. Cracking JEE requires a great strength and hold in analytical skills with a great emphasis on critical thinking. It is thus imperative to understand the application of the concept as well.

Tip # 4: Revise complete syllabus

Analyze yourself with SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) and do not try to attempt hard, unsolved problems and concepts, as trying anything afresh could complicate things. Focus more on polishing the strengths by consistent revision to perfect the concepts. Focus your energy on learning or retaining rather than just studying.

Tip # 5: Make short notes - helpful for last minute revision

Creating self- written notes helps one to memorize the formulae, tips and trick and are very helpful during JEE preparation and easy to revise. Students can make self-written short notes for long term memorizing. Revise all the concepts from notes with flags on question requiring tricks and analytical reasoning. Devote equal time to all the 3 subjects.

Tip # 6: Judge your performance with mock test in real simulation

Attending regular mock tests is useful to understand the gap and weak areas during preparation. Joining test series through an authentic source to get All India RPI (Rank Potential Index) helps in analyzing your preparedness. This not only helps in clearing the weak concepts, but also helps in managing the time in all aspects for better outcomes. The mock tests provide comparative as well as progressive analysis that will help the students to plan their path of preparation accordingly.

Tip # 7: Relax yourself and do not overstress

Meditating can be a way of relaxing yourself. Spending time with family and friends can keep the burden out. Never over burden yourself with the content and give some time to the brain to get on track. “Never say die” should be the attitude. Fill yourself with as much as positive energy, time to time. Believe in yourself, work hard and stay focused with positive energy. Taking some time to relax or rest also prepares the brain to recollect the learnt things on your fingertips. Keep calm but do not lose focus as temperament plays a vital role in JEE success. With all the preparation done so far, nervousness can prove to decrease the performance that even the most potential candidate can lose their qualification.

It should be a mandate for aspirants to keep themselves updated with the current JEE syllabus, have a sound analysis of the current trend and changing pattern of the exam year by year.
