KCET 2014: Top colleges accepting scores

KCET(Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is a common entrance exam conducted by the state Government of Karnataka. The exam is a gateway for admission into various courses like Medical, Engineering, Architecture, Dental, Naturopathy, Homeopathy etc.

This year the exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 1 and May 2, 2014.

The exam is not meant for Non- Karnataka students and thus, they cannot take the exam. However, these students can appear in a parallel examination called Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducted by Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association to fill some parts of seats in various Engineering/Medical/Dental colleges of Karnataka.

The exam scores of KCET are accepted by various colleges in Karnataka, National Institute of Engineering (NIE) being one of them.

The institute has been ranked 27th by Outlook Magazine among the top 50 Private engineering colleges in India and 1st among the private-aided engineering institutes in State and 3rd among Private engineering colleges in state.
