KCET 2015- In order to secure admissions in programmes like Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses i.e. BSc (Agriculture), BSc (Sericulture), BSc (Horticulture), BSc (Forestry), BSc Agri Bio Tech, BHSc (Home Science), BTech (Agri Engg), BTech (Food Technology), BTech (Dairy Tech), BFSc (Fisheries), BTech (Food Science &Tech), BSc (Agri Marketing & Co-Op) , BPharma, Pharma-D and 2nd year B.Pharma Lateral Entry course, in Government / University / Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka, one has to give KCET 2015.

Right after giving the entrance test, students want to find out how they performed in the exam so that they can shortlist colleges for admissions. To help students at this stage, Shiksha.com has launched its College Predictor Tool. In earlier articles, we have provided you with information on how to predict college and branch and further even discussed on how to use the KCET 2015 cut-off predictor.

In this article, we will provide you with guidance on what all steps you need to follow in order to correctly use the KCET 2015 branch predictor.

Step 1: Select preferred branch                                                  

In the first step, you have to select the engineering branch of your choice. You can even search for your preferred engineering branch by typing the same in the search query box present right at the top of the drop down menu.

Step 2: Enter rank/predicted rank

In the next step, you have to enter your rank in KCET 2015. If you are using the tool before KCET results have been declared then you need to enter your expected/predicted rank in the field.

Candidates are informed that the shortlisting of colleges and branches as well as rank cut-offs are displayed in the KCET 2015 College Predictor on the basis of KCET 2014 closing ranks.

Step 3: Select category

In the next step, you have to select the category which you have mentioned in your KCET 2015 application form. The category options from which aspirants can choose include – General Merit (GM), General Merit Kannada (GMK), General Merit Rural (GMR), Schedule Caste General (SCG), Schedule Caste Kannada (SCK), Schedule Caste Rural (SCR), Schedule Tribe General (STG), Schedule Tribe Kannada (STK), Schedule Tribe Rural (STR), 1 General (1G), 1  Kannada (IK), 1 Rural (1R), 2A General  (2AG),  2A Kannada (2AK), 2A Rural (2AR), 2B General  (2BG), 2B Kannada (2BK), 2B Rural (2BR), 3A General (3AG), 3A Kannada (3AK), 3A Rural (3AR), 3B General (3BG),  3B Kannada (3BK) and 3B Rural (3BR).

Step 4: Select counselling round

In the final step, you have to select the KCET 2015 counselling round wherein you want to find out the list of colleges and engineering branches in which you will be offered admissions on the basis of your KCET rank. The counselling rounds from which you can select are Counselling round (All), Round 1 and Round 2.

After filling all the details in KCET 2015 branch predictor you have to click on the “Search button”.

On clicking this button, a list of 15 findings appear wherein the branch name, college name, counselling round and closing rank for the branch is mentioned. If you want to see more colleges wherein you can secure admissions in the engineering branch of your choice then you can click on the – Load more results link present at the bottom of the list.

Just like in the KCET tool to predict college cut-offs, in the branch predictor tool also, you are provided with an option to compare two or more colleges as per your preference.

Further, at any point of time, if you wish to enter a separate set of data in the KCET Branch Predictor Tool then you can click on the “modify search” option that is available at the right hand top corner of the page.
