KCET College Predictor: Know college cut-off

KCET 2015 will be conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to offer admissions to aspirants in UG as well as professional courses offered in colleges and universities in the state of Karnataka.

Shiksha.com has launched KCET College Predictor wherein aspirants like you can find out the college/ branch in which they can secure admissions on the basis of their rank in KCET 2015. Apart from this candidates can also find out the rank cut-offs at which they can get admission in different colleges/engineering branches in Karnataka.

Previously, we had provided you guidance on how to find out colleges and engineering branches in which you will get admission on the basis of your KCET 2015 rank/predicted rank. Herein, we will tell you how you can find out the closing rank at which you can secure admissions in the engineering college/branch of your choice by using KCET 2015 cut-off predictor.

Step 1: Select preferred colleges

In the first step, you have to select the engineering college of your choice. Here you can select multiple colleges as per your preference. You are also provided with a provision to search the college of your choice, by typing its name in the search query box present right at the top of the drop down list.

Candidates are informed that the colleges, branches as well as closing ranks displayed in KCET 2015 College Predictor are based on KCET 2014 closing ranks.

Step 2: Select category

 In the next step, you have to select the category to which you belong. On clicking this field a drop down opens up from which you have to select the category/reservation category which you filled in your KCET 2015 application form. The categories mentioned in the drop-down include – General Merit (GM), General Merit Kannada (GMK), General Merit Rural (GMR), Schedule Caste General (SCG), Schedule Caste Kannada (SCK), Schedule Caste Rural (SCR), Schedule Tribe General (STG), Schedule Tribe Kannada (STK), Schedule Tribe Rural (STR), 1 General (1G), 1  Kannada (IK), 1 Rural (1R), 2A General  (2AG),  2A Kannada (2AK), 2A Rural (2AR), 2B General  (2BG), 2B Kannada (2BK), 2B Rural (2BR), 3A General (3AG), 3A Kannada (3AK), 3A Rural (3AR), 3B General (3BG),  3B Kannada (3BK) and 3B Rural (3BR).

Step 3: Select counselling round

In the last step of KCET 2015 college predictor tool, you have to select the counselling round in which you want to search for the engineering branch that will be offered to in the desired college/colleges selected by you above.

The list of counselling rounds from which you can select in KCET college predictor are – Counselling round (All), Round 1 and Round 2.

After filling in all the details as mentioned in the steps above, you will have to click on the “Search” button below. After you click this button, 15 results are displayed before you.

In the list displayed, you can view the closing ranks for different colleges and branches along with information regarding the counselling round for which the cut-off is displayed for you.

If you want to see more results for the selections made by you in the KCET cut-off predictor then you can click on the link present at the bottom of the list which reads “load more results” to know the cut-offs for different engineering branches offered at various colleges in the state of Karnataka.

You can also download e-brochures of colleges that are present in the list before you. Apart from this, you can also select maximum of four colleges as per your preference from the list displayed in front of you and compare them.

When you add colleges for compare then a detailed table opens up which compares colleges on different criteria such as – alumni rating, course duration, mode of study, affiliation, top recruiting companies, average salary, eligibility, free training etc.

At any point of time if you want to change any selection made by you in the KCET college predictor tool then you can simply click on button present at the right hand top corner which states – Modify Search.
