On Tuesday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said in a meeting that there will be no change in KEAM 2020 exam date. KEAM 2020 is scheduled to be held in offline mode on July 16, 2020 for two papers. Mr Vijayan was addressing the media today as part of his daily briefing in Thiruvananthapuram.

Chief Minister further added that there is the feasibility of conducting the examination and therefore no change in examination date. Earlier, HRD Minister has announced that two national level examinations – JEE Main for engineering aspirants and NEET for medical aspirants have been postponed due to health risks of students in COVID-19 situation.

Earlier the KEAM 2020 was scheduled to be held on April 20 (Paper 1) and April 21 (Paper 2). However, due to COVID-19 outbreak in the country, the entrance examination was postponed.

This year, KEAM 2020 examination will be held for Paper 1 and 2 in two sessions in a single day in pen and paper-based mode. Paper 1 will be held in the morning session while Paper 2 will be conducted in the evening session. The exam will be held for three subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. According to the KEAM 2020 exam pattern, the question paper will carry 120 questions for each of the paper.

The syllabus of KEAM 2020 is usually based on class XI and XII syllabus of the state board.

KEAM is conducted by Office of the CEE (Commissioner of Entrance Examinations) Candidates who wish to admission in the various Engineering Courses in Kerala shall have to appear and qualify in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.

The admit card of KEAM 2020 is expected to be released by the authority by today. The admit card is an important document that must be carried to the examination hall along with an ID proof.
