Life at NIT: Warangal campus offers “Theatre Nights” & has Asia’s largest single building hostel
Students often wonder how their life would be at an engineering college. Answering this question is National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal’s Nishant Gupta who in a candid chat with Shiksha.com explains why NIT Warangal is a better choice as compared to other private engineering colleges.
Nishant, an M.Tech in information securities, reveals that on a normal working day he wakes up at 8 am, dresses up and heads to the department. Classes generally continue till 5 pm after which he unwinds a bit at the sports ground followed by having diner, before he calls it a day.
One aspect of NIT Warangal, he is all praise for is the Ultra mega hostel which houses PG and B.Tech students. The hostel is the largest single building hostel in Asia and has 10 floors. There are 120 rooms on each floor and the hostel has a capacity to lodge 1800 students.
The institute also holds “Theatre Nights” wherein students are shown the latest movie in campus and that too absolutely free of cost.
However, on the flip side, Nishant reveals that the administrative office is very slow to respond to queries and he feels that aspect of the college needs a little work.
