All the students whose engineering colleges are affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University are in dilemma because the university might bar them from giving their first semester examination. As per some sources, the students were admitted by the colleges in order to fill the vacant seats, even though they do not fulfill the basic eligibility criteria required by the university.

The university has given a deadline to students to submit their required documents by 28th November, 2011 but most of the students failed to submit their documents. The university had also found that most of the students had gotten admission even though they had not submitted the required documents to the university.

PP Saxena, registrar of MTU said that now the rejected students will only be accepted after the rigorous investigation of the documents. In order to discuss this issue, university officials has conducted a meeting and discussed the issues regarding first semester examination, which is due to take place next month. However, no decision has been made yet by the university and the situation has raised the questions on authentication of the university.
