MHT CET 2020 to be conducted from October 1-15, revised schedule soon

MHT CET 2020 Exam Dates have been released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. The exam would be conducted from October 1 to 15, 2020. The cell will also release the revised schedule soon.

Maharashtra’s Higher Education Minister of the state Uday Samant has confirmed that the MHT CET 2020 dates by mentioning about the same in a tweet from his official profile. The revised schedule for other important events related to MHT CET would be available to all appearing students soon.

The exam conducting authority will also soon release the details regarding the mode of MHT CET 2020 and the type of format to be followed on the official website of Maharashtra CET, cetcell.mahacet.org.

The state government has taken the decision after the Supreme Court dismissed a plea seeking postponement of MHT CET. The apex court said that if JEE Main and NEET can be conducted there is no problem in conducting CET in Maharashtra. The two exams are being conducted all through the country since September 1, 2020.

The students and parents constantly demand to cancel the entrance exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic across the country. The authorities have postponed the exam earlier citing the reason of the pandemic. The notice in this regard on the CET website read, "Due to the global epidemic of coronavirus, MHT-CET 2020 has been postponed till further orders from the State Common Entrance Examination Cell”.
