Mystory@Akhilesh Soni: How I made the most of my college life

I had chosen Science, CS in the 11th standard and when I was in 12^th standard, I appeared for MHCET, but I didn't score much. I got admission in DY Patil College, Kohapur, but unfortunately, I didn't succeed at it too. I was not able clear my papers in college and I wasted my two years. Then I came back to my place and took admission in an Engineering college. Now, I am able to clear all the papers without any difficulty.

In the 1^st year of my college, elections were held for selection of class representative. I was the one who was voted the highest and was elected. Then again, in the second year, I was elected as the CR and I successfully passed my students’ council interview. I was elected as the creative head of the college. During the college fest, I won the first prize in decorating the department. In addition, the third year of my college was special for me as I was selected as the cultural secretary for the students’ council. I have given hit events throughout the year.

In 11^th, I chose computer science just with the thought of having one subject less to study, but after clearing the 12th standard, I was blank about my career. Then I decided to do Engineering. I filled the form and I got admission in this college. My biggest mistake was taking admission in another city than my own city. It would be wrong if l say it was my mistake. Actually, it was an experience in my life.

I failed many times in that period, but I stood up again and started walking towards my career.

Currently, I'm pursuing my Engineering from Saraswati College of Engineering. My hobbies are to work part-time anywhere. I'm interested in doing any kind of work, which is interesting according to me. I would only say, “If you fail anywhere, don’t be nervous. Just think that it was not your time, and wait for the right time."
