Mystory@Jaswanth Paramkusam: My college selection was a roller coaster ride

When I completed standard 12, I became carefree and paid no heed to my choice of course or college. I spent my time visiting Pune, Mumbai, Banglore and Kolkata. Since I wasted most of my time in travelling, I secured an all India Rank of 2365 in IIT and 17456 in JEE Mains. According to my scores and category, I did not get a seat in any of the colleges.

I had also applied to Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology located in Thiruvananthapuram but missed the seat with a difference of 50 ranks. Since I had no choice left, I appeared for the counselling of EAMCET and secured a seat in SRKR Engineering College in IT Branch. I was not interested in the branch, so I attended the second counselling where I secured a seat in Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bhimavaram. Here I got ECE as the branch and this was of my choice, but since the college was extremely strict, I again decided to appear for the counselling, and once again I landed up in SRKR Engineering College, but this time in EEE Branch.

Joining an Engineering college, made four years of my life meaningful. I enjoyed my days, but at the same time I also realised that in this age we get distracted by many obstacles, but to achieve success we need to work hard so that we can lead a happy life.
