I was very much interested in Mathematics since my school days. I was doing great in Mathematics since school time only. Also, I had given many competitive exams in Mathematics. I never found Biology interesting as I always felt there is a lot of stuff to remember in Biology which I can’t do. Eventually, I decided to study Mathematics in 11th-12th class. So I decided to choose PCM group in my intermediate.

I studied a lot and worked hard after my intermediate to get into IIT and NIT. However, I was not able to get into any IIT or NIT. So, I started researching for some private colleges like SRM, VIT, GITAM and SASTRA. I applied in these colleges to get an admission and I got admission in some of them. But I didn’t go to any of those private colleges because of some personal reasons. While researching for the colleges, I came to know about Saveetha Engineering College. I did detailed research about Saveetha Engineering College. I came to know that it is a good college offering amazing placements. My brother was a mechanical engineering student. I was a bit influenced by him and was thinking of choosing mechanical engineering but I didn’t. I have always wanted to become a software engineer and I thought it would be best to follow my dreams. After completing my 12th, I chose Computer Science Engineering as I was interested in programming. That's how I ended up at Saveetha Engineering College.
I completed my 12th in Andhra Pradesh. So, I wrote entrance tests like EAMCET and JEE Main. I didn’t take any coaching classes. My elder brother helped me in the preparation of the entrance exams. I didn’t get admission in IIT and NIT. However, I got admission in some local colleges with my EAMCET rank but I didn’t join as they were not that good. After the result of my EAMCET and JEE Main, I wasn’t satisfied much. So, I decided to join some private colleges. I also applied and gave entrance tests for VIT, SRM, SSN and GITAM. I also tried to get admission in SASTRA as I had a good score and was eligible for it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get admission in SASTRA also. I was selected in some of them but I didn’t attend counselling in those colleges because their tuition fee was high and there were some other reasons too. I searched for some good colleges in Tamil Nadu offering decent placements. I came across Saveetha Engineering College and decided to join it. Being a candidate from another state, there was no entrance test for Saveetha Engineering college for me. I got admission under management quota considering my 12th class performance without any entrance exam. This is how I got admission at Saveetha Engineering College.
I attend most of the classes as attendance is mandatory in our college. I like to attend Mathematics, core subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Data Structures, Machine Learning and laboratory classes because I can learn new things in them. We have soft skills sessions and aptitude classes which I never miss attending as they help me in enhancing my personality and prepare me for placement tests.
In my free time, I often go to the library to read some journals and non-subject related books to gain extra knowledge. Our college has a big playground where we play cricket after classes. I like to hang out with my friends during the break at the canteen. One day we bunked the class and went for a movie, it was quite an adventure for me. The faculty helped me gain knowledge and also motivated me to try out new things in academics. I and my friends had done a project with proper guidance from the faculty. I am maintaining a good CGPA of 8.4.
I am not a part of any extracurricular activities. Although I have participated in some events during fests and attended some quizzes conducted in our college. I have presented a paper along with my friend at the National Conference on Paradigm shift in pedagogy to improve employability which was conducted in our college. If given chance, I would like to organize events and fests. Also, I would like to publish some research papers along with my faculty members on various subjects.
I have made a bunch of new friends. I have also experienced a plethora of things and enjoyed a lot. I have met a lot of people at this college. I have got to know about their behaviour and it taught me how to be a good person in society. My college helped and guided me in choosing the right career path for my future.
