How I chose my course and college: Shreyansh Goyal
I chose Science as my stream of study when I entered 11th standard. I was not good at lengthy calculations but I wanted to go for Science due to my interest in the subject. I thought about choosing Arts but Hindi or English was not my cup of tea. To be honest, I was weak in these subjects. The thing about Science was that it always had something new to learn which attracted me towards the subject. Also, I chose a non-medical field because I loved computers.
Now, coming to the course. Computer Science is the most preferred course because of the growing IT sector and availability of jobs in the domain. People asked me for reasons I did not choose MAIT for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. My reason is: I preferred course over college.

How did I crack my college admission
I appeared for IPUCET which is not a tough exam. All you need to do is manage time. For my preparations, I studied NCERT and took a crash course of a month to crack the exam. The exam is more factual than conceptual. So, it’s better to focus more on CBSE course books and the facts mentioned there.
The best and the easiest way is to buy the Previous Year book for IPU by Arihant. More or less everything is covered in the book. You would get a fair idea on how to prepare for the exam.
First, try to solve the mock papers on your own, even if it’s only 10% of it. Then, compare the answers with the solution given and comprehend your mistakes. Try and solve the remaining questions you haven’t attempted. This will help you boost the confidence later on and will also help in time management.
Questions asked in IPUCET are very basic and you need to have a good practice so that you can maximise your score. You would have a lot of time to take mock tests daily but while solving questions, remember you have got limited time. This will help you a lot to score good marks in the exam.
