SRM University’s AARUSH 2015 boasts over 50 events in 14 different domains and much more!

A National Level Techno-Management fest organised by SRM University, Chennai, AARUUSH commenced on September 9 and was further held on 4 more days. The event this year aimed to cater to the needs of all the college goers and discover simple solutions to complex problems.

AARUSH boasted over 50 events in 14 different domains (including engineering and management), 10+ Workshops, Sports Week, Swastika (Inter School Quiz Competition), 3D-Mapping, Un-Conference, Gaming, Photography, Paper Presentations etc.

A fun and an informative platform, AAURUSH 2015 was attended by eminent personalities like Ms. Shradha Sharma, the founder of YourStory, Ankit Fadia , Shravan and Sanjay - the youngest CEOs. Associations like IET, IEEE and IAARC too were a part of the event.

The famous Ankit Fadia introduced students to the world of Ethical Hacking via a workshop which described all the hacks that could be used. This workshop was attended by as many as 1200 students. On the other hand, Shravan and Sanjay explained the audience about their experience of developing the company and how determination could lead you to achieve your dreams.

Some of the other prominent workshops which were held included the Bike Overhauling

workshop and Wireless Sensor networks and Application of GIS workshop. The Bike Overhauling workshop was the one which continued from the first day of Aaruush.

‘Doodle drawing’, was a new workshop conducted for all the art enthusiasts. The workshops were a medium through which students got hands on experience.

The Mobile planetarium , the DRDO Expo, the Air-Force Expo, a culturally enriching Newspaper Expo, the Naval Expo, and the Coin Expo were some of the highlights of the event this year. Besides this, AARUUSH 2015 also hosted four major Championships – Robowars, UAV, Coding and Sports.

AARUUSH 2015 was conducted by Major Chandrakanth Nair, the quiz master for the Aaruush Main Quiz. The quiz encompassed various aspects of General Knowldege, Science, Maths and was attended by about 100 students.

One of the other major highlights of the event was Vivek Patil who charmed the audience with his display of Sand Art and Radium Light Art. The famous Knownsense studios gave the audience an insight of 3D Projection. Illuminati entertained the student with the Tron act and the UV act.

September 12 marked Day 4 as well as the last day of AARUSH 2015. On this day, the event featured a loads of events, exhibitions, workshops, guest lectures etc.

Two of the special events - Crickshetra and Interstellar concluded on Day 4. Subsequently, on the last day, each and every domain declared the winners of each of rounds.

AARUUSH ’15 marked its end with a movie which was projected in the auditorium. This initiative was a treat for all cinema fanatics.
