Which is better, SRMJEEE or AEEE

Which is better, SRMJEEE or AEEE: SRMJEEE and AEEE are both reputable engineering entrance examinations conducted by well-established institutions in India. While candidates aspiring to join SRM Institute of Science and Technology have to appear for SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE), to join BTech courses offered by Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, candidates have to appear for Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE).

The eligibility, application process, and syllabus are similar to a great extent for both exams. However, differences lie in the admission counselling process, exam pattern, and mode of exam. The choice between the two depends largely on factors such as campus location preference, specific engineering programs offered, mode of examination, and other personal considerations such as fee structure and available scholarships. Candidates are advised to thoroughly research and compare these aspects before deciding.

SRMJEEE v/s AEEE: Application Process

  • SRMJEEE: Applications are typically submitted online through the official website of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The SRMJEEE application process includes registration, email ID verification, application form filling, uploading scanned documents, and paying the application fee. Candidates have to pay INR 1200 towards the application fee.
  • AEEE: Applications are submitted online through the official website of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Offline application forms are also available. The AEEE application process involves completing personal and academic profiles, filling in application details, paying the applicable fee and uploading scanned documents. The application fee for AEEE is also INR 1200.

SRMJEEE vs AEEE: Mode of Examination

SRMJEEE: The exam is held in online remote proctored mode. Candidates can take the exam from the comfort of their homes on their laptops/computers. A safe examination browser can be downloaded before the exam, which the institute provides to the registered candidates.

AEEE: The exam is held as a computer-based test at various centres across the nation.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of AEEE?

A:

AEEE is usually rated moderate as compared to exams like JEE and BITSAT. However, the candidates must have class 11 and class 12 concepts clear as the questions in the exam come from class 11 and 12 syllabus. Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the computer-based entrance test held for 10+2 passed candidates for admission in BTech courses offered by Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham. Candidates must prepare well to crack the entrance exam.

Q:   How to score well in AEEE?

A:

Here are some tips to score well in AEEE

  • Refer to Previous Years Question Papers and Attempt Mock Tests: The full prrof method to score well in AEEE is to practice a lot of questions. Previpous year question papers, mock tests and sample papers are the best way to get access to questions. Solving questions will lead to improved speed and accuracy.
  • Solve As Many Numerical Problems as Possible: AEEE exam focuses on testing the candidates comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability. The questions asked in the three subjects of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics are of advanced level and focus on the application of the concepts rather than the concepts themselves.
  • Keep Track of Strengths and Weaknesses: For scoring perfect marks, candidates must be prepared perfectly as well. This means keeping an eye on their strengths and weaknesses and trying to avoid making the same mistake twice. Errors occur when one is unsure of himself/herself, and uncertainty is the last thing any candidate would want while attempting questions in the exam.
  • Set Daily Targets: Setting daily targets serves two purposes. One, the entire syllabus is divided into short-term goals that need to be achieved daily, and two, the focus of the students remains unwavering until the long-term goal is achieved.
  • Develop a Subject-wise Study Plan: Different students have varied levels of command over different subjects. Someone may be good at Physics and Mathematics and need more effort in Chemistry or the other way round.

Q:   How can I prepare using SRMJEEE syllabus?

A:
Here are some tips to prepare for SRMJEEE: 1. Understand the syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the complete syllabus and exam pattern of SRMJEEE. 2. Create a study schedule: Plan your study schedule effectively, giving ample time to each subject and topic. 3. Practice previous years' question papers: Solve previous years' question papers to get an idea of the exam pattern and practice answering questions within the given time frame. 4. Take mock tests: Take online mock tests to assess your preparation level and identify areas where you need improvement. 5. Seek clarification: If you have any doubts or difficulties in understanding any topic, seek help from your teachers, classmates, or online resources. 6. Revise regularly: Regular revision is crucial to retain what you have learned and reinforce your understanding of different topics. 7. Stay updated: Stay updated with Current Affairs and the latest developments in the subjects of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. 8. Stay calm and focused: Maintain a positive attitude, manage your time effectively during the exam, and stay focused on the questions.

Q:   If I am preparing for JEE exam, do I need to prepare separately for SRMJEEE?

A:
SRMJEE is the exam conducted by the SRM University and if you are preparing for the JEE exam than it is more than enough for you and you don't have to prepare from somewhere else. There are total of 360 marks and of 120 questions in total which has 4 sections and they are as follows: Mathematics Chemistry Physics English and logical reasoning In mathematics, mainly focus on your basics using NCERT and mainly focus on speed and accuracy. There will only be questions. In physics, prepare using HC Verma volume 1 and 2. Study through the NCERT books. In Chemistry, prepare using NCERT books and that will be more than enough. For English, prepare using NCERT books of class 11th and 12th. JEE Preparations are more than enough for SRMJEE. No one (usually) prepares for SRMJEE separately. You study for JEE give your exams book a slot for SRMJEE as per your convenience (after JEE-Main obviously) study the extra portion and practice the mock test of SRMJEE as many as possible. Just focus on speed and accuracy for SRMJEE. Just be aware of silly mistake made in questions are easy because choices are really confusing.

Q:   What is a good score in SRMJEEE?

A:

A score of 110 and above is considered to be a good score in SRMJEEE. However, aspirants muts keep in mind that the good score in SRMJEEE depends on various factors like difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates taking the exam, number of seats and so on.

Q:   How can I crack SRMJEEE in 1 month?

A:
SRMJEEE is not so hard to crack with respect to JEE Mains and VITEEE. Here is the strategy needed to crack this exam: 1. The candidates should be well versed in the exam pattern, if you are appearing for the online examination then prepare yourself with online mock tests. On the other hand if you're taking the offline exam then go through the pattern used in previous exams. 2. SRM JEEE gives importance to testing the numerical abilities of students. Candidates should focus on this area during revisions. 3. The exam has a cut-off for all four subjects, so the candidates should give time for revision to all four sections. 4. With just one month to go, attempt mock tests. These help you revise and learn time management at the same time. 5. Do take breaks in between. Studying continuously lowers concentration levels and regular breaks would help you study with a fresh mind. 6. Decide how much time you will allot to each section in the exam, and practice the sample papers accordingly. 7. To save time during the exam, use the process of elimination, i.e., rule out the improbable options first, this will help you arrive on the correct answer faster.

Q:   Is there any specific book recommended for SRMJEEE preparation?

A:
While there is no specific book recommended by SRM for SRMJEEE preparation, you can refer to the NCERT textbooks for Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as they cover the fundamental concepts. Additionally, you can use reference books such as: - Physics Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma, Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker. Chemistry Physical Chemistry by O. P. Tandon, Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd. - Mathematics: Objective Mathematics by R. D. Sharma, Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight. It's also recommended to solve practice papers and sample papers specifically designed for SRMJEEE.

Q:   Which are the most important topics to focus in SRMJEEE?

A:
SRMJEEE is an exam conducted by SRM University for giving admission to their 7 campuses so if someone wants admission here then he or she has to pass this exam. Here are a few important topics which really helps you to crack this exam. Physics: Most Important topics are current electricity, heat and thermodynamics, electrostatics & magnetism, modern physics and optics. Moderate important topics are sound, simple harmonic motion, rotational motion. Mathematics: Most important topics are vector, probability, 3D geometry and matrices, determinants, permutation and combination, complex numbers, conic section. Moderate important topics are a straight line, continuity and differentiability, binomial theorem, trigonometric ratios and Identities. Chemistry: Most important topics are chemical kinetics, chemical bonding, transition elements (d and f block), general organic chemistry, carboxylic acid and its derivatives, alcohol phenol and ether, biomolecules. Moderate important topics are periodic classification of elements, atomic structure, principles and processes of extraction (Metallurgy). These are important topics, if rest of the topics are left then you may not be at loss. A big part will be covered if you study these topics sincerely.
