Choosing a career stream after class 12th is always a hectic task for students. With focus shifting from stereotype paths like medical and engineering to fashion designing, entrepreneurship, startups, hotel management and a never-ending list to go on with. This decision was an equally daunting decision for me as well but thanks to Vedatya Institute which got in touch with me regarding hotel management.

Having scored pretty much good rank in NCHM I was not convinced to join a private institution for my higher studies, thanks to my typical Indian mentality. But when I was asked to visit the campus, I felt good vibes resonating all around the place, the classes, the building and most importantly the kitchen. It was not less than an international standard kitchen with completely stainless steel counters and the classroom seemed to be a highly professionalised classroom and I could see myself sitting in the first row and grasping all the knowledge given by the faculties and moving on the path of success and excellence.

The institute is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city into the quiet and calming environment. The greenery around the college building filled me with enthusiasm and happiness. The campus possesses a colourful garden, a humongous field and peaceful seating arrangement for soothing and  enchanting relaxation after classes. The visit to campus made me desperate for the classes to begun. I kept gazing the calendar and kept crossing the passing by date. And finally, it was the day when my college life started. I got dressed up with my favourite pairs of jeans, wore my favourite shoes and started the journey of my college life.

I was nervous deep within and was constantly thinking of what will I say to make friends with new people. But as soon as I entered the college premises a feeling of joy came from deep down my heart and a smile came to my face. I walked in the class with utmost enthusiasm and positivity and that is how my college life began. Presently, I have completed semester 1 with the second rank in my batch just to give literal meaning to the saying “ladies first”. Looking back to my journey I have realised that choosing a private institute for my higher education could have been a bad decision but the Vedatya Institute has proved me wrong. Not only it has coursework which targets every aspect of student development but it also provides modules such as soft skills development and personality development. The institute targets on maintaining a low quantity to deliver the best quality. That is why it takes a step back when it comes to promotion and only promotes itself in educational arenas.

The institute focuses on both theoretical and practical knowledge of a student me and hence it has 1 practical class for every theoretical class to make the students understand each and everything taught in class. Not just that the institute provides world class silent library which houses exclusive books written by the Industry giants. Other than the library, the institute has a high-tech computer lab with every possible equipment needed and even a recreational room for students to revive and get charged in between classes. That is the reason the Institute produces higher number of management trainees annually than any other standard government college and is immensely popular in the service Industry and when it comes to the faculty the institute could not have done better, it houses the best of facilities from the industry who go beyond the conventional way of teaching using books but PowerPoint presentations which makes the understanding of the student crystal clear. The institute does not educate students but it cultivates raw intelligence according to the industry norms and produces future managers and HODs of the industry who are fit for joining the industry as soon as their course is over and outshine the masses, evidently proving themselves as a Vedatya Almuni.
