Mystory@Himanshu: How I made my career – Challenges and successes

Since Class X, I wanted to do things differently as I was very talkative and humble. I wanted to join something different and so chose hospitality industry. It was not an easy task as I had to clear an exam after which I was sent to Chennai for graduation for three years. College was a great learning experience for me. After my graduation I was selected by the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.

I believe I chose the right career for myself and learnings only come from experience. Nobody is born perfect, things are only learned gradually. After joining the industry, I was the youngest in my team and had to learn a lot. I was given many responsibilities but gradually I was able to learn the culture and become a senior member in the team. Thereafter, I was made the supervisor.
