Programmes into which candidates can secure admissions through IIHM eCHAT are BSc in Hotel Management, Catering & Tourism, Advanced Diploma in International Hospitality Administration and BA in Hospitality Management. On the basis of IIHM eCHAT scores, candidates can secure admissions into eight IIHM colleges.

The IIHM eCHAT exam pattern is such that candidates have to answer 45 questions in 60 minutes. As per the official website, “eCHAT will be an objective type of test with multiple-choice answers. It will comprise of language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and interpretation, intelligence and critical reasoning, awareness of Indian & Global Economy”.

The questions asked in IIHM eCHAT exam can be in any format. Some of the question formats which students should expect in this hospitality management entrance exam are as follows:

• True/False
• Multiple choice
• Numeric fill-in-the-blank
• Text fill-in-the-blank
• Multiple selection (Students can select multiple answers in such questions)
• Picture-click multiple choice

Since, the syllabus for IIHM eCHAT is so diverse, it is advisable that aspirants go through reference books and materials so that they can perform well in this entrance exam.
