Malaysian internship for 15 Indian hotel management students

A group of fifteen students from a Pune-based hotel management institute of the Suryadatta Group have bagged internships at leading four and five star hotel properties in Malaysia.

Students were selected on basis of two rounds of interview sessions with hospitality industry experts wherein they were judged on the basis of their communication skills, overall technical knowledge as well as their personality.

Students will be undergoing this internship as part of their hotel management course curriculum. As part of this internship they will get aquainted with the working of the hospitality industry and understand how to apply the knowledge they have acquired in classrooms to the systems and practices of the industry.

Earlier, in 2012, seven students of this institute got a chance to develop hands-on experience and develop insights into international hospitality systems at leading hotels at Germany and Singapore.  As part of this internship programme, students were selected on merit basis after which they were trained in languages such as German and French so that they were able to interact better with guests and learn their culture and cuisine.
