Bachelors in Hotel Management (BHM) is a four-year undergraduate programme.

Selection process: There is no entrance test to secure admission in the BHM programme. On the basis of candidates’ scores in their qualifying exams, Manipal University declares the merit list on its official webiste.
Eligibility: Candidates who have cleared Class XII, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent are eligible for BHM admissions at Manipal WGSHA.
Course fee: The course fee for General category candidates is Rs 9,98,000 and for Foreign/ NRI candidates is $34,100.

BA Culinary Arts
BA Culinary Arts is a three-year long undergraduate programme.
Selection process: Admission in the programme is provided on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. There is no entrance test for the programme.
Eligibility: Similar to BHM course, candidates who have passed Class XII, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent are eligible to apply for BA Culinary Arts programme at Manipal WGSHA.
Course fee: The course fee for General category candidates is Rs 6,55,000 and for Foreign/ NRI candidates is $15,150.

Bachelor of Hotel Management - Lateral Entry
Bachelor of Hotel Management - Lateral Entry programme offered by Manipal WGSHA allows candidates to secure admission directly in 2nd year (3rd semester) of BHM programme. The complete duration of the programme is three years.
Eligibility: Candidates holding a three-year diploma in hotel management with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent after clearing Class XII are eligible for the course.
Selection process: There is no entrance exam for the course. Admission to candidates is provided on the basis of merit determined through a candidate’s score in the qualifying exam.
Course fee: The course fee for General category candidates is Rs 7,18,000 and for Foreign/ NRI candidates is $25,650.

MSc Dietetics & Applied Nutrition
MSc program in Dietetics & Applied Nutrition is a two-year postgraduate programme.
Selection process: There is no entrance exam for this course. Admissions will be provided on the basis of merit determined through a candidate’s score in the qualifying exam.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission in MSc Dietetics & Applied Nutrition programme is mentioned below:
• Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in Home Science/ Nutrition/ Dietetics/ Food Science/ Biology/ Microbiology/ Clinical Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ BNYS (Naturopathy)/ BAMS (Ayurveda) with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Or
• Candidates holding a PG Diploma in Dietetics with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Course fee: The course fee for General category candidates is Rs 1,84,000 and for Foreign/ NRI candidates is $6,700.

MSc Hospitality & Tourism Management
MSc Hospitality & Tourism Management is a two-year postgraduate programme.
Selection process: Similar to other courses there is no entrance exam for the course and admission is provided on the basis of merit.
Eligibility: To fulfill the eligibility criteria for MSc Hospitality & Tourism Management programme, candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognised college. However, candidates holding a degree other than hotel management are required to enroll for a bridge program for three months which will run parallel to the Master’s program.
Course fee: The course fee for General category candidates is Rs 2,30,000 and for Foreign/ NRI candidates is $8,300.

Note: The official website informs that “for postgraduate programmes, candidates can apply either under General category or Foreign/NRI category. Those submitting applications under both General and Foreign/NRI categories will be considered only under the General category. Change of category at a later stage will not be entertained.”

PG Diploma in Culinary Arts
PG Diploma in Culinary Arts is a one-year diploma programme divided into three trimesters.
Eligibility: Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university is eligible to apply for the course.
Selection process: Admission in the course will be provided on the basis of a candidate’s past academic record and performance in group discussion and personal interview rounds. However, for NRI/ foreign students, admission will be done only on the basis of a candidate’s performance in the qualifying exam.
Course fee: The course fee for General category candidates is Rs 1,40,000 and for Foreign/ NRI candidates is $4,300.
