MAH HM CET Syllabus 2025: BHMCT & MHMCT Syllabus, Topics-wise Weightage, Best Books

The MAH HMCET Syllabus 2025 will be shared by the Maharshtra CET Cell. The MAH HM CET Question Paper 2025 will include questions from following subjects:

• English Language
• Reasoning (Verbal and Arithmetic)
• General Knowledge & Awareness including questions on current national, international affairs, culture, trade & commerce, sports, scientific inventions and discoveries, travel/tourism etc.

MAH HM CET 2025 will be held in computer-based test format. It will have MCQ type questions. There will be no negative marking and all questions will be asked in English Language only. BHMCT CET will have 100 questions to be answered in 90 mins. MHMCT CET will have 50 questions to be answered in 60 mins. In BHMCT CET, each question will be of 1 mark. In BHMCT CET, each question was of 2 marks. The exam pattern for MAH HM CET is different for BHMCT CET and MHMCT CET in terms of subjects, syllabus and weightage.

No, as per the official exam pattern shared by the exam conducting authority. There is no negative marking in the MAH MHMCT CET entrance exam. One mark will be alloted to each correct response made by the candidates while no mark will be deducted for wrong responses attempted by the candidate.

Qualifying the MAH BHMCT CET will lead to admission in all Government Aided Institutes and all Un-Aided MHMCT in Institutes of Maharashtra offering 4 years Bachelor of hotel management and catering technology course. The exam pattern for this common entrance test is as follows:

Mode: The exam is held as a Computer-based test

Exam Timing: 10 am to 12 pm

Language of the question: All questions in the exam are asked in English only

Total number of questions: The exam shall have a total of 100 questions

Total marks: The maximum number of marks in the exam is 100

Negative marking: There is no negative marking in the exam

Marks per question: Each question in the exam carries 1 mak

Time duration: Candidates have to finish the exam in 90 mins

From General Knowledge in MAH BHMCT 2025 you will get questions related to Current affairs of National and International affairs, Trade and commerce, sports and scientific invention, discoveries travel and tourism. MAH BHMCT CET carries 100 questions of 100 marks, whereas, MAH MHMCT CET carries 50 questions of 100 marks. Moreover, there is no negative marking in both the common entrance tests. Both the tests shall have questions to test the candidates’ aptitude for the hospitality sector.

• Food and Beverage Operation: Food and Beverage Service Operations, related terminology, Inventory control, Food & Beverage equipment and infrastructure.
• Food Production: Food Production operations, Indian & International cuisines and related terminology, Bakery and Confectionary, Hygiene and Safety standards, Kitchen equipment and Infrastructure
• Rooms division: Housekeeping and front office operations and related terminology, fabrics & textiles, Planning & designing of hospitality organisations, Laundry operations and procedures.
• English: Word meaning, comprehension, antonyms and synonyms, idioms and phrases, word spellings.
• Hospitality Industry related: Types of tourism, hotel and restaurant brands and segments, Airlines, hospitality terms, hospitality-related organizations and regulatory bodies.
