Jamia Millia Islamia University is gearing up to extend its hospitality to international students, as the university in collaboration with the ministry of tourism’s Incredible !ndia campaign will be holding International Summer School from June 16 to July 26, 2013.

The Summer school programme will comprise of two components, highlighting our country’s rich culture and heritage. The first four weeks, students will be introduced to Indian political science, Indian history, Indian sociology and Indian economics.

The second component of the programme will have seminars, where the students will view documentaries, films and get an opportunity to interact with experts. Students also get an opportunity to go for trips to Agra, Jaipur, etc, apart from volunteering with Ritanjali, an NGO, which works for Community development.

What’s more is that the students will also get to learn beginner's level Hindi. The programme is open to all and universities can nominate their students to participate in the programme.

Indian nationals under the age of 25 years can apply for the programme and are expected to attend the entire programme.

The Ritinjali-ISS scholarship will be awarded to students with an exceptional academic record and demonstrated ability to understand and respect different cultures.
