CUET 2023 History Question Paper (Memory Based) and Analysis
The CUET UG 2023 exam, which began on May 21, will end on June 8. The first two phases of this examination are over. Here is the CUET History Question Paper based on candidates' memory and expert reviews. The official CUET 2023 History question paper will be released by the NTA later this year.
CUET 2023 History Question Paper and Analysis
CUET UG 2023 exam is being conducted over a window of 14 days. The exam is being conducted in Computer Based Mode (CBT) for 27 domain subjects. CUET question paper is divided into three parts in which objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked. Till now two phases of CUET 2023 exam have been completed. According to the students who appeared for the exam, the difficulty level of the History paper was easy to moderate. There were total three sections in the CUET 2023 History question paper- Language, History (domain subject) and General Test. Candidates will be given five marks for each correct answer and there will be a penalty of one mark for each wrong answer. CUET 2023 Exam Pattern
According to NTA, section II or the domain-subject section carries 50 questions, out of which candidates have to attempt 40 questions. The duration for this section is 45 minutes. However, no marks will be either awarded or deducted if a candidate attempts more than 40 questions in this section. Candidates can see the CUET exam pattern in the table below:

CUET 2023 History Question Paper (Memory-based)

- Questions on Quit India Movement, Champaran Satyagrah, Permanent Settlement Act, Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, Revolt of 1857, Ryotwari System, Vijaynagar Empire, Harappan sites, Indus Valley Civilisation, Bhakti movement and Dandi March related questions
- Questions on Gautam Buddha, Mahabharata, Rig Veda, Aryans and Mahavir

CUET 2023 History Section Analysis
According to the exam experts and students appeared in the CUET 2023, the History section was of easy to moderate level of difficulty. Candidates with basic preparation and application of the elimination method will be able to score high in this section. The questions were asked from all 15 units of History CUET syllabus. However, the majority of the questions were asked from units like The Story of the First Cities Harappan Archaeology, Social Histories using the Mahabharata, A History of Buddhism: Sanchi Stupa, Religious Histories: The Bhakti-Sufi Tradition, Colonialism and Rural Society: Evidence from Official Reports, Representations of 1857 and Mahatma Gandhi through Contemporary Eyes.
NTA had already suggested NCERT books for preparation of History subject because NCERT books are exclusive of all the possible topics that might be asked in the CUET 2023 examination. CUET 2023 exam is being conducted by NTA in 295 cities across India and abroad. As many as 14,99,688 candidates have applied for the exam. CUET is the entrance exam for undergraduate courses admission to 250 central, state, deemed, private and other universities.
