Delhi University (DU) CUET Common University Entrance Test (CUET) (UG) 2025 entrance exams will commence in third week of May 2025. The exam date for CUET UG will be announced soon. Admission to several UG courses of Delhi University is done through CUET. Here in the article, we have explained in detail about the number of Delhi University courses through CUET. Notably, candidates must appear exam in the Languages or CUET Domain-Specific subjects in which the candidate is appearing or passed in Class XII. To take admission in Delhi University, candidates are required to appear in CUET in the subjects in which they are appearing or have passed Class XII. CUET UG 2025 will be scheduled tentatively in May/June 2025. During the admission, candidates will be required to do subject mapping of the subjects they opted for in Class XII with the language-specific subjects in which the candidate has appeared in CUET UG 2025.

Q:   How will I get admission through CUET UG?

A:

Aspirants who will be appearing in CUET UG 2024 exam will be required to participate in the counselling / admission process of any University / Institution / organisation even though they have not applied for that University / Institution / organisation in the Online Application Form of CUET UG - 2024. Notably, aspirants must fulfil the eligibility criteria of that course of University / Institution / organisation where they are aspiring to take admission. Q:   Will I get weightage for my Class 12 Board marks in admissions through CUET UG?

A:

No, candidates will get admission through CUET UG 2024 mainly based on CUET UG 2024 score in different Subjects/languages/ General Test as mentioned in the in the score card. However, it is worthy to be mentioned here that the minimum eligibility conditions of various Universities take into account the percentage of combinations of subjects as per the course. For detailed information about DU CUET UG, candidates need to check the above page or can also visit the official website CUET UG to know about the eligibility for undergraduate courses through CUET 2024.

Q:   How will the admission be given after DU CUET-PG exam?

A:
After the DU CUET-PG exam, the admission process will be managed at the level of each of the participating Universities/Institutions for their respective programs. After the result of the CUET-PG are announced, the respective Universities will release the counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on CUET 2023 score and any other criteria of participating universities. Candidates are suggested to check the website of the concerned University for details. There will be admission counselling for Universities/Institutions with additional applicable fees.

How to Map CUET Subjects?

Candidates will be able to map CUET subjects for UG courses offered by Delhi University by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1- Visit the CUET UG registration link: cuetug.ntaonline.in (Link will be updated)

CUET UG 2023 has been designed in consonance with NEP where candidates will be able to choose the subjects as per their choice for taking the test and each participating universities will be able to SEE each candidate's individual subject scores in subjects and admit candidates into their programmes based on their score in different subjects and languages. Candidates will be required to check the university official website to know about all the updates related to their admission through CUET in the particular university.

Q:   How are the placements at Delhi University?

The placement scenario at Delhi University varies depending on the course, the college, and the individuals academic performance and skills. Here are some general trends and Statistics related to placements at Delhi University: Overall placement rate: Delhi University has a decent overall placement rate, with an average of around 80-85% of students getting placed every year. Top recruiters: The top recruiters for placements at Delhi University include multinational companies, start-ups, government organizations, research institutions, and educational institutions. Q:   Will I be able to complete the DUET admission process if I miss the date and time?

A:
Candidates who will appear for the DUET exam are suggested to take proper precautions while registration for counselling process. After the registration process is complete, candidates will be given a schedule, according to which candidates will be required to attend the college for the counselling process. In case a candidate has missed their date and time, the officials will give the seat to the candidate next in rank. Therefor, it is suggested that candidates should attend the counselling process as per the assigned allotted schedule.

Q:   What is the process of DU spot admission?

A:
The admission portal of DU displays the number of seats in each college after admission to the fifth round. The examination authority releases the schedule of spot allotment where candidates are called as per their ranks. The schedule also mentions the date, time and venue of DUET counselling 2023. In the first round of spot allotment under each category, candidates who have been offered admission but have opted for re-allocation is considered. Besides, candidates who are not yet allotted a seat but whose ranking is higher than the rank of last admitted candidates in any category are also eligible. They are called as per their rank to choose a seat from the available ones and allotment is done accordingly. In the second round, candidates whose rank is higher than the last selected admitted candidates and who failed to take admission during the online allotment rounds are considered. In the subsequent rounds, candidates not yet allotted seats are called for DUET counselling 2023 as per their ranks.

The admission process includes Entrance Examination and Interview. M.Phil or Ph.D. candidates will be admitted in a two-stage process through: (I) An Entrance Test to be held once a year. In Departments or Centres offering both the programmes, this entrance test for M.Phil. And Ph.D. programme will be a common one. (ii) an interview (one or more if required for Ph.D. in a year)
