DU Admissions 2014: List of documents to carry
Yes, Delhi University admission process is underway and candidates can apply for admissions at colleges and in courses on offer at this prestigious University till June 16, 2 014.
Candidates who seek admission at Delhi University (DU) are offered a new undergraduate programme with multiple exit options since last year’s academic session. As per this new feature, candidates pursuing an undergraduate degree at DU will be offered a diploma if they exit the course after two years, a bachelors degree if they exit after three years and a bachelors with honours/B.Tech degree if they complete the four year course.
So, in order to successfully complete your admission process at DU, candidates have to keep a few things in mind while they approach the University for admissions. Shiksha.com lists out the documents that applicants need produce in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of admission:
- Class X Board Examination Certificate
- Class X Marks-Sheet
- Class XII Marks-Sheet
- Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
- Character Certificate (recent)
- SC/ST/PwD Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority
- OBC (Non- Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Candidate) issued by competent authority
- Transfer Certificate from school / college as well as Migration Certificate from Board / University is required from those students who have passed senior secondary exam from outside Delhi
- At least two passport size self-attested photographs.
The University will accept self-attested copies of documents / papers provided by the students. It is made clear that if any false attestation / falsified records are detected, the student will be debarred from attending any course in the University / or its Colleges for next five years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant sections of IPC (viz. 470,471,474 etc.) will be instituted against him/her.
