DU rules for fee refund on withdrawal/cancellation of admission in 2015
Delhi University admission process 2015 is on in full swing. The first cut-off 2015 for admissions into different programmes on offer at DU colleges was released on June 24, 2015. This year Delhi University (DU) colleges have been asked to keep a single cut-off for all the streams.
Next, DU released the second cut-off for admissions. The percentage points for admissions through the second cut-off saw a dip of up to 4%.
So, as the trend has been in previous years, most students take admission in any college and course wherein they are getting admission in the first two-three cut-offs released by DU. Further, when they secure admissions in the course/college of their choice, they withdraw admissions and head out to seek admissions at their preferred college/course.
However, students need to note that the entire amount paid by them as part of admission fee will not be refunded. Also, an official notification released by DU states: “In all cases, security deposits/caution money (if any) shall be refunded after obtaining clearance from relevant quarters, provided he/she (candidate) applies for refund of the same within a period of one year from the date of leaving the institution”.
The refund candidates can expect to receive for admission fee paid by them for DU’s regular colleges, departments, non-collegiate women’s education board and School of Open Learning are as follows:
