The global pandemic known as COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has created a massive impact which has seen various entrance exams postponed, rescheduled and some entrance exams have even been cancelled due to the current situation. The education sector in India is in a huge dilemma as to what's next and when can some form of action be carried out. Fast forward to July, the COVID-19 cases in India are raging and the numbers are only increasing and the government is doing all it can to ensure that there is social distancing and no form of problems are faced when it comes to the admission process. The only positive outcome here can be seen is that the admission processes is now becoming available online where students can from their home, apply for admission, give entrance exams online and complete the admission formalities online as well. The UGC has been changing their guidelines from time to time according to the situation which dramatically changes every now and then. Many Universities have been affected as the admission process is only being postponed.

Delhi University
The Delhi University has opened its admission process on June 20, 2020. The application window has also been extended with the last date to apply being July 31, 2020, for all courses and programmes which are offered at the University. For the final year students, Delhi University has opted to conduct Open Book Exams (OBE), where students can attempt the final-year papers from their home. DU has also provided an option that if students aren't able to give the OBE from home, they can give the final year exams in the month of September. Delhi University conducts the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) in order to offer students admission to its various programmes offered at the varsity. The online registration and form submission was released on June 20, 2020, onwards and the last date to apply for admission to DUET is till July 31, 2020. The Delhi University Entrance Exam (DUET) was scheduled to be conducted from June 2 to June 9, 2020. At present, there is no information released regarding postponing the entrance exam dates. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)
The Jawaharlal Nehru University, one of the most renowned universities in the nation, has also resorted to online classes and are awaiting information on the new UGC guidelines which will be released in the first week of August. Classes and lectures are non-functional and its hostels have also been closed. Students have been advised to go home.The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JNUEE on behalf of JNU. The latest update on JNUEE is that the application window closed on June 30, 2020. The option to edit the application form was available from July 6, 2020, to July 24, 2020. JNU Entrance Exam 2020/21: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) along with the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JNUEE to offer students admission to its undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD courses which are offered by the university. Due to the lockdown extension, the JNU online registration for the 2020/21 academic year had been extended over the course of three months to June 30, 2020. Jamia Millia Islamia
Jamia Millia Islamia had also closed its doors and all classes and lectures have been postponed. Online classes are being conducted and the JMI administration has circulated a press release advising students and professors to be at home. With the semester being delayed, Jamia Millia Islamia has resorted to online classes. For the JMI Entrance Exam, the varsity had extended the registration dates further to July 31, 2020. Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam 2020/21: The Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam application process is underway and the last date to fill and submit the application form has been further extended to July 31, 2020. The applications are being filled online only. The entrance exam stands postponed and new dates will be released once the university reopens. IGNOU
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has now released information that the final year exams will be conducted in the first week of September, 2020, for all programmes and courses. Banaras Hindu University
The Banaras Hindu University has also called off its classes, events and activities till further notice. In the wake of the global pandemic spreading, the Banaras Hindu University has stated that no examinations will be held during this period till the lockdown is lifted and students have been advised to remain at home as well. BHU Entrance Exam: The Banaras Hindu University conducts its BHU UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) and BHU PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test). The application is now closed and the entrance exams are expected to be conducted from August 16, 2020, to August 31, 2020. The entrance exams are scheduled to be changed given the situation. Christ University
Christ University, Bangalore has released a clarification on its final year examinations and had conducted the examinations in online mode. CUET also has been conducted and session II exam was conducted on May 3, 2020, and May 4, 2020, and the exam was conducted on May 17, 2020. The last date for session III was May 11, 2020. The entrance exams were conducted in online mode. The final list for all programmes and courses will be informed by the varsity officials soon.

Savitribai Phule Pune University
The Savitribai Phule Pune University had earlier closed its doors and were not conducting classes due to the ongoing pandemic. The latest update by SPPU is that the online registrations for UG, PG programmes and PhD programmes have been extended to August 10, 2020. The varsity has also updated its guidelines relating to the final year examinations and as of now, the varsity has extended the application window, the entrance exams expected to be conducted in the month of September. Rajasthan University
The University of Rajasthan had also postponed its semester examinations until further notice. Students have been advised to stay at home and prepare for the examinations. The practicals and theory exams which were scheduled to happen on March 19, 2020, have been postponed. Rajasthan University has extended the last date to apply for admission to UG and PG Courses till July 31, 2020. PIM MAT- The University of Rajasthan conducts PIM-MAT 2020 which is a common aptitude test which is conducted by R.A Poddar Institute of Management to offer students admission in MBA courses offered by the university.
