Indian Student Parliament calling future political leaders – Registrations open!
Launched under MIT School of Government, Pune, in 2011, Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (BCS) is an apolitical platform, where students from all ideologies – political, religious or otherwise – assemble to voice their opinions. It is the largest classroom in India to evolve future political leaders.
It seeks to transform the outlook of young minds for their involvement and access in societal and rational causes for strengthening the foundation of Indian democratic leadership. It imparts practical leadership training and encourages students to serve the society by entering into public life and assuming leadership roles.
Register for the 4th BCS Annual National Conclave
Bhartiya Chhatra Sansad (BCS) organises a 3-days annual national conclave in January each year, which has been attracting participation from academicians, industrial and political leaders, youth icons and engaging thinkers from myriad fields. The fourth annual edition will be held from January 10 to 12, 2014.
This 3-day national conclave will be held in association with Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Ministry of Higher & Technical Education, and Ministry of Sports & Youth Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra State supported by UNESCO Chair for Human Rights, Democracy, Peace and Tolerance World Peace Centre Alandi (Pune) India.
Learning opportunities for participants of the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad:
• About 800 participants will be selected from the 4th Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad for political study tours to the United States, China and to some European countries. These tours will be facilitated and sponsored by their respective governments who will also issue certificates to all participants.
• 50 participants each will be selected for specially organized political and spiritual training camps at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh and Art of Living Foundation campus at Bangalore, Karnataka under the benevolence of His Holiness Dalai Lama and His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar. A certificate of participation will be issued to all participants.
• 400 participants will be selected from the 4th Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad for 10-day International Study tour to Europe and 10-day National Study Tour to Delhi.
• Based on the ideological inclination and interest, 100 bright minds from the participants of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, will be selected every year for each political party of India, to undergo the short term Political Leadership training program.
