Masters programme in community development
The Society for Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA), the academic and research unit of a civil society organisation with three decades of experience in grassroots development, and the University of Victoria, Canada, have launched a new Master’s programme, MA in community development (international perspectives). The programme provides space for students to analyse the current problems, including livelihood security, inequality and poverty, as well as examine catalyst of change. Faculty from both the University of Victoria and PRIA will co-deliver this programme, primarily through online learning.
The programme ends in a Major Project, which will be a client-oriented research study.
The fee for the two-year programme is CA$20,000 (about Rs 8 lakh).
