Mystory@Sayed Anees Raja: How I made my career – Challenges and successes
I always wished to study in an English Medium school but my village did not have any. So, I was left with the only option to join a Hindi Medium school and pursue my studies. I completed my PUC from UP Board, after which I got myself enrolled for the graduation programme.
How I chose my course and career
I opted for Allahabad University and took admission in the B.A programme. After completing my Graduation, I then pursued my masters i.e. M.A from Kanpur University. Two years of my masters went smoothly. But I could not appear for my Viva in the final year, resulting in failure. I have always been focused and concerned about my studies and dreamt of pursuing my higher education from Oxford University. Even my parents were very supportive but we all were the witness of our financial crisis, which did not allow me to pursue with the dream.

After failing the M.A final year exams, I decided to prepare for IPS and IAF exams. Yet again the financial crisis blocked my way as the coaching for such exams was something my parents could not afford. Then finally taking a concrete decision, I decided to struggle as an actor and the only place that would support my decision was Mumbai. I travelled all over from Allahabad to the city of dreams. I have always been a man of high ambitions and always dreamt of becoming rich and famous.
While struggling in Mumbai, I was offered a few side roles but they did not fulfill my dream. Yet another switch and now I was all set to become a Realtor. Soon I became the General Manager of a Real Estate Company and then the Vice President. After completing silver jubilee in the industry, I then became the Director in the same company.
