Mystory@Sidha Gopal Shukla: How I made my career – Challenges and successes
Born in UP and having lost my father at an early age, I was brought up by my mother with a great set of values, who is herself a woman of values and principles. Due tothe sudden death of my father, I did my initial schooling in my village/nearby towns. Choosing courses and subjects of my studies were totally my decisions based on my ambition of becoming an officer. Given a chance, as in my previous innings, I will again strive to improve upon the organization/institution with which I get opportunity to work with, in an innovative, creative, honest and transparent manner.
After school, I planned to pursue B.A in English from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Yes, I chose the right career for myself. Some of the common mistakes that I usually commit includes, impatience, short temperedness and not understanding others' point of view. With time I have learnt to work for the betterment of the organisation and working along with the team, without compromising with my values and principles. My hard work and honesty worked for me and paid me good dividends. My tips for career selection is to do what you love and love what you do.
