It was not easy for me to choose Philosophy for my undergraduate degree as I was from Science background. But despite this, I never lost my confidence or limited myself. I felt that Hindu College was the ideal place to shape my career and enhance my skills.
After my class 12, I was quite confused about what and where to study and how life would be like in a new college or university. I was kind of excited for a new beginning but at the same time, I was also confused about where to begin that journey. From exploring different colleges and giving different entrance examinations to finally getting admission at Hindu College, University of Delhi the journey has been remarkable in my life.
I got selected in many other colleges like Kalinga University and Indian Institution of Psychology & Research. I cracked the Central Universities Common Entrance Examination (2019) by scoring an AIR-49 in Humanities. I also appeared for Social Sciences examination (HSEE-2019) for IIT Madras. But in the end, Delhi University turned out to be the best place for my overall development.

I felt that Hindu College was the ideal place to shape my career and enhance my skills. The exposure you get by meeting new people proved to be helpful in gaining good experience and knowledge.
Even after choosing the science stream in high school, I was pretty clear about not pursuing engineering and opting any humanities course due to personal interests. Besides preparing for board examinations which are important in securing a good college and course in Delhi University, I also prepared for other examinations like Humanities and Social Sciences Examination (IIT-Madras), Tata Institute of Social Sciences examination, Central Universities Common Entrance test and Kalinga University Examination. I also gave an interview for joining Indian Institute of Psychology & Research.
It was difficult to manage both science and humanities simultaneously but I divided it well and kept a balance between the two. The rest can be seen through my achievements.
I secured All India Rank- 4 in KITTEE 2019 for B.A.(Hons) Sociology in Kalinga University and All India Rank 49 in HSEE-2019 for IIT Madras. I got a good score in TISS and I was selected in the interview of Indian Institute of Psychology & Research. I also got selected in the interview of the Central University of Karnataka through CUCET-2019. Also, a good percentage of marks in board examinations helped me in getting a good college and course in Delhi University.
Hindu College is one of the top colleges of Delhi University. It appeared like a perfect place to quench my thirst of gaining new experience and knowledge. With much confusion and dilemma during Delhi University cut-offs, I opted Philosophy in Hindu College which turned out to be the best decision of my life.
Hindu College is a perfect place to meet diverse people and great minds because here students from all across the country and globe come to study. The environment that the college provides with its great administrative staff always brings positivity in the students. The various societies that are present in college are an additional benefit to the students.
Being a part of the education wing of the National Service Scheme has helped me a lot in my personal development and skill enhancement. As an active member of the NSS Education wing of Hindu college, I have worked as a tutor to underprivileged children.
Internship opportunities and volunteer service at different NGOs like 'Umeed - A drop of hope' boosted me for my career prospects. Especially volunteering for different NGOs helped me to understand the importance of empathy and responsibility. Various seminars and meetings that happened on a regular basis became the perfect platform to gain knowledge. The fests and fairs that happened in various colleges of Delhi University made my college life even more enjoyable. The best part of my college life was my friends.
