NO CUET UG Exam 2022 on July 17, Know why
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the duration of CUET exam dates 2022 has been revised. The NTA will now hold the CUET exam 2022 until August 20, 2022 instead of August 10, 2022. However, NTA will not conduct the CUET 2022 exam on July 17. As per the notification, “Candidates who have opted for Physics, Chemistry or Biology have been taken to Phase II, keeping in view the NEET (UG) - 2022 being held on 17 July 2022 (Sunday)."
The announcement came as a major relief to all those students who were looking forward to appear for the exam but were confused with the clashing dates of both the important entrance exam. NTA will be releasing the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 admit card today after 6 pm. All the candidates who have registered will be able to download the CUET admit card 2022 from the official website of NTA.
“The National Testing Agency will be conducting Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] - 2022 from 15 July 2022 to 20 August 2022 (excluding the days of other undergraduate Examinations) at different Examination Centres located in 500 cities across India and 10 cities outside India,” the NTA notification stated read.
The testing agency had released the CUET 2022 advance intimation slip for examination city to all candidates with the CUET exam date, city of examination and it is now available on cuet.samarth.ac.in.
"Candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combination of subjects across 90 universities. In view of a large number of subjects, the unique date sheet to every individual candidate has been created," the NTA said.
As per the details shared by NTA, a total of 14,90,000 candidates have registered for the CUET UG 2022 Exam of which 8,10,000 will be appearing in the 1st slot while the rest 6,80,000 will be appearing for the test in the 2nd slot. Candidates must note that NTA will be releasing the CUET admit card for phase 1 today and it will release the CUET 2022 Hall Tickets for Phase 2, i.e., August Exams later.
