Number of Chinese students increased in Spain

As per the figures provided by a diplomat at China's embassy in Madrid, the number of Chinese students studying in Spain has increased from 500 in 2003 to more than 5, 500 in 2011. First Secretary Wang Zhiwei at an event said that the number of Spaniards studying in China had also risen from 100 to 2,000 in last eight years.

He has also stated that in year 2007, China and Spain signed several agreements in order to boost the academic linkages. Such agreements has resulted into ‘increase in exchanges' between the two countries in different areas including architecture, engineering and, above all, tourism. Some of the facts reveal that every year about 1,000 Chinese students come to Spain to pursue a graduation course.
