Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore will be conducting an entrance exam for admissions to its Masters Programs and regular/integrated/External Ph.D programs in various disciplines offered at the Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science and Forestry.

The exam is scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, July 24, 2013

Eligibility:

  • Masters program : Graduates who have completed four years degree program in any one of the State Agricultural Universities / Colleges affiliated to State Agricultural Universities alone
  • Regular Doctoral program : Candidates who have studied four years degree program and two years masters program in any one of the State Agricultural Universities / Colleges affiliated to State  Agricultural Universities alone
  • Integrated Doctoral program : Candidates who have studied four years Undergraduate degree program in any one of the State Agricultural Universities/Colleges affiliated to State Agricultural  Universities with a minimum OGPA of 8.5 / 10.0 scale or its equivalent score alone
  • External Doctoral program: Candidates who have studied four years degree program and two years masters program by regular stream in any one of the State Agricultural Universities / Colleges affiliated to State Agricultural Universities and should have professional experience not less than two years in Government or Private organization / Institutions, where R&D facilities recognized by TNAU are available to conduct field and laboratory experiments leading to award of Ph.D degree by TNAU. No objection certificate (NOC) and sponsorship certificate from the employer and statement of purpose (SOP) are mandatory to get admission in this program.
  • Minimum OGPA /Aggregate requirement: Masters / Regular Doctoral Program / External Doctoral program: A candidate who has undergone course credit system with a minimum OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 7.00 out of 10.00 or 70% aggregate alone is eligible to apply for various Master’s and Doctoral programs. However, for SC/ST candidates a pass in the qualifying degree is sufficient for all programs
